The Wellington Art Show 2025 has now drawn to a close, and I’ve taken a moment to reflect on what was truly a memorable and rewarding experience.
This year’s show was incredibly special. Not only was it a joy to exhibit alongside such a high calibre of artists, but the response to my work was overwhelmingly positive. I’m so grateful to everyone who took the time to visit my stand, engage in meaningful conversations, and share their thoughts about my paintings.
In what has been a challenging economic climate, I was absolutely thrilled that 8 out of 9 original paintings found their forever homes. That level of support means more than I can express—it’s both humbling and deeply motivating.

A Wonderful Community Response
One of the highlights of the show was the incredible engagement with my giveaway, both at the event and online. It was heartwarming to see so many of you enter, follow along, and connect with my work.
A very special congratulations goes to Juan Miguel Beltran, who won one of my signed framed prints. I hope it brings beauty, inspiration, and joy to your space for years to come—I’d love to see where it ends up on your wall.
Gratitude and Acknowledgements
I’d also like to extend a sincere thank you to the organisers, Art Shows Across Aotearoa, for hosting such a seamless and inspiring event. The venue, Tākina Wellington Convention and Exhibition Centre, provided a stunning backdrop that elevated the entire experience.
And of course, a heartfelt thank you to my incredible support team on the ground—your help made everything run smoothly and allowed me to fully enjoy the weekend.
After the Show
After three solid months of preparation, it’s now time for a short and well-earned pause. I’m looking forward to recharging—spending time in nature, enjoying Wellington’s beautiful summer days, and gathering fresh inspiration for the next body of work.
I even managed to wrap up the weekend by heading over to the vibrant Newtown Festival—a perfect way to celebrate the end of a successful show.
Final Thoughts
To my new collectors: thank you for welcoming my work into your homes. Knowing my paintings will continue to live with you and be part of your daily environment is the most rewarding part of what I do.
And to everyone who stopped by, followed along, or supported from afar—thank you. Your encouragement fuels my creative journey, and I’m excited for what’s to come.
Artfully yours,
Alex DiMercurio
