There’s a moment just before the world fully wakes…
when the tide is still, clouds begin to lift, and light quietly spills across the mirrored water as though the sea and sky are one.
Inspired by the quiet magic of low tide at sunrise, this painting is part of my 2026 series Chasing Light Across Horizons, an exploration of those fleeting moments in nature that stop us in our tracks. Capturing that feeling of wonder, awe, and stillness, where everything feels expansive, luminous, and newly alive.
Built through expressive and bold palette knife work, the surface moves between atmosphere and abstraction. In the distance, waves soften beneath a shifting horizon, while mirrored clouds reflect across the wet sand. Up close, the surface becomes more tactile, catching and holding the light as it changes throughout the day.
Sealed with two coats of UV-protective varnish, signed on the front, and stamped, named, and signed on the back again.
Comes with a certificate of authenticity and ready to hang.
Sits in a beautiful modern Oak floating tray frame.
