An original, one-of-a-kind painting from my Chasing Light Across Horizons series, 2026

My works are all about translating feelings of awe and wonder into colour and form.

    ‘Quietly Rising’

    100 x 100cm x 5cm deep

Acrylic and Marble Dust on Stretched Canvas,

Framed but painting also continues around the edges

Based on my regional gold award winning artwork, but is larger and a square composition.

This is a richly textured abstract cloudscape captures the dramatic lift of parting and varied cloud forms as wild weather clears over a low beach tide, revealing the first break of sunrise in muted blues and warmth colours.

The first rays of sunlight refract through clouds suspended above the golden horizon and reflected on the water below.

Created with expressive impasto layers using a range of palette knives this piece blends structured abstraction with the emotional realism of nature's shifting skies.

Medium: Acrylic and marble dust on stretched canvas.

Sealed with two coats of UV-protective varnish, signed on the front, and stamped, named, and signed on the back again.

Comes with a certificate of authenticity and ready to hang.

Sits in a beautiful modern Australian Oak floating tray frame. Also is painted around all edges of the canvas and looks beautiful on a wall without the oak frame.
