Selected as Wellington’s winning artwork, it is currently also a finalist for the national Gold Award vote later in 2026.

About the Painting
An original, one-of-a-kind sunset painting from my Clouds Over Seascapes series.
‘Shine Through’ explores a moment of transition, when turbulent weather begins to lift and light reasserts itself across sky and water. Layered cloud forms part and dissolve, revealing a luminous golden band of sunset hovering at the edge of night.
A space of release, relief and quiet awe, it speaks to those fleeting moments when uncertainty gives way to clarity, and nature’s scale reminds us of both our fragility and our belonging.
